Grityphants

40x30cm Mixed Media on canvas. 

This highly textured painting was made by building up corse painting texture to make the background look like it was a painted wall. I then added pieces of old flyers that I found on the streets of Berlin and Glasgow. To finish off the painting I airbrushed the pink and blue elephants onto the Canvas. 

The use of pink and blue elephants symbolised the ups and downs of the Berlin night life and the effect that that can have on someone.
